You can apply to our programs online through our website. You will need to fill out an application form, submit your academic transcripts and other supporting documents, and pay an application fee. You may also need to take an entrance exam or an interview depending on the program you choose.

The admission requirements vary depending on the program you choose. However, some general requirements include:

 

  • As per the minimum university entrance exam result set by the Ethiopian Higher Institution (Locals)
  • For international applicant’s High school completion with four years in Mathematics & physics Education. (For Engineering) for other programs Highschool completion with English proficiency.
  • Entrance exams deliver by Ethiopian Aviation University
  • A passion for aviation and a commitment to excellence

ETAU provides student residency visas for international students. They send an invitation letter after admission requirements are met and facilitate visa on arrival with a valid passport copy. The process takes at least 10 working days. A letter from EAU sales staff, Police Clearance Certificate, and Personal History Form are required. Visa and security pass processes are facilitated after payment is received. For more information, contact etauinfo@ethiopianairlines.com. visa fee & visa related costs covered by the student.

The tuition fees vary depending on the program you choose. However, some general estimates are:

The price per credit hour is USD 165 for international (non-Ethiopian) students and USD 125 per credit hour for Ethiopian nationals. You may also need to pay for other expenses such as books, supplies, accommodation, transportation, insurance, and application fee which is 400 ETB (Ethiopians) and 50 USD (International Students).

The EAU offers dormitories on shared base (two trainees in one room) and a wide range of facilities, is located inside our University campus, a few steps away from the teaching and administration building.

There are two semesters in each EAU Academic Year.

Each semester is normally 15 weeks long.

EAU’s postgraduate program schedule is fixed with one module every two months. The minimum time to finish is 24 months.

Undergraduate students receive their timetable after registration and can access it on the website. Postgraduate students receive their schedule by email from their Admissions Officer after registration.

The career prospects for graduates of our programs are excellent. The aviation industry is growing rapidly and offers many opportunities for qualified professionals. Some of the possible careers you can pursue after graduating from our programs are:

  • Pilot: You can work as a pilot for commercial airlines, cargo airlines, charter airlines, or private jets. You can also work as a flight instructor or a test pilot.
  • Engineer: You can work as an engineer for aircraft manufacturers, maintenance companies, research organizations, or regulatory agencies. You can also work as a consultant or an entrepreneur.
  • Manager: You can work as a manager for airports, airlines, air traffic control centers.
